DESCRIPTION:Cape Rep Theatre Announces Auditions for the Revival of 9-Ball\n\n\n\nAuditions are by appointment but walk-ins will be seen on a first come\, first served basis in between scheduled appointments. Please email a request for an appointment along with a headshot and resume to auditions@caperep.org.\n\n\n\nRehearsals begin on or about April 6\, 2026\n\nProduction dates are currently scheduled for May 6 - May 31\, 2026 at Cape Rep Indoor Theater\, 3299 Rt. 6A\, Brewster\, MA 02631. \n\n\n\n9-Ball by Art Devine Summary:\n\nThe year is 1967. Over a game of pool\, two young men swap identities. One goes to prison\; the other to war. Inspired by true events and pulsating with the sights and sounds of the late 1960s\, 9-Ball was Art Devine?s hugely successful first play at Cape Rep and is being brought back in celebration of its 25th Anniversary.\n\n\n\nAvailable Roles and Character Breakdown:\n\nRoles available for 8 men between the age of 18 and 35.\n\n\n\nLARRY DOUCETTE\, a clean-cut kid from a working class family. A Catholic of French-Canadian descent. Although he has a gift with numbers\, he barely graduated from high school. He is 18 years old.\n\nEDDIE FOGAL\, a baby-faced 18 year old soldier in Vietnam. Also plays VINNY PETRECHO\, a drugged-out convict and Larry?s cellmate.\n\nROCKY THOMAS\, a young Black soldier who is tone deaf. Also plays MINK\, a leg-breaker who works for a semi-successful racketeer in Albany\, NY.\n\nBRAD COYNE\, a prison supervisor. Also plays several other roles\n\nTOM DURKEE\, a prison guard. Also plays several other roles\n\nSERGEANT WIRTMAN\, a Drill Instructor\, Fort Dix\, New Jersey. Also plays several other roles\n\nFRANK ALLISON\, a Detective from Troy\, New York. Also plays several other roles\, ARMY LIEUTENANT\, an Officer who works at the Induction Center\, Albany.\n\nBAKER\, a radio operator of the Ranger Company.
