DESCRIPTION:Originally called Decoration Day\, from the early tradition of decorating graves with flowers\, wreaths\, and flags\, Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country. \n\n\n\nThe Town of Chatham Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on \n\nMemorial Day\, Monday\, May 30\, 2022 at the Community Center and will begin at 10:00 am.\n\n\n\nDedication of the American Revolutionary War Memorial is scheduled for Memorial Day at 11AM in Chase Park below the Godfrey Windmill. As a part  the Memorial service at the Community Center at 10AM\, Colonel Godfrey will tell the assembled crowds about the dedication. He will in turn \,lead those interested in attending  through Town accompanied by a fife and drum:(we hope) to Chase Park\n\nAfter the dedication the Windmill will be open for the public.\n\n \n\nPlease join us this Memorial Day as we pause to honor those who died in service to our Nation.
