DESCRIPTION:Originally called Decoration Day\, from the early tradition of decorating graves with flowers\, wreaths\, and flags\, Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country. \n\n \n\nTown of Chatham Memorial Day Observance for 2023\n\nMonday\, May 29\, 2023. 10:00 am \n\nWorld War I Memorial adjacent to the Chatham Community Center (702 Main Street)\n\n \n\nIn the event of inclement weather\, the observance will be held indoors at the Community Center. There will be seating available.\n\nThe Chatham Coast Guard Commander\, Senior Chief Ross Comstock\, will be the guest speaker. Laura Barabe will lead us in song. Sarah Marchio will play bagpipe.
