CAPE REP THEATRE CONTINUES 40TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON WITH SOARING NEW ADAPTATION OF A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
Cape Rep Theatre continues its 2025 season with the world premiere, Midsummer Dreamers, based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, adapted by and starring Kirsten Peacock and Nick Nudler, and directed by Maura Hanlon. Perfor- mances will be June 18 - July 13, Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2 pm, Tuesday July 1 and July 8 at 7:30 pm, no performance July 4, at Cape Rep’s Indoor Theater. Join us for this thrilling two person reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream by renowned theater artists Kirsten Peacock and Nick Nudler (From the Heart of the Wreck, Jason & Medea). A lover’s quarrel ignites a vivid fantasy transport- ing us to a world of dreams, of star-crossed lovers and romantic foibles in a one-of-a- kind production filled with breathtaking aerial feats, bold physicality and humor.
Joining Hanlon on the production team are scenic designer Ryan McGettigan, lighting designer Trevor Norton, costume designer Robin McLaughlin, and stage manager Tori Mondelo.

Cape Rep’s 40th Anniversary season opened in our new venue the Crosby Barn with Every Brilliant Thing, May 8 - June 1, followed by the thrilling new work Midsummer Dreamers based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream adapted by Kirsten Peacock and Nick Nudler playing June 18 - July 13. The summer will feature the glorious musical Sunday in the Park with George, July 29 - August 24. We have an exciting TBA play scheduled September 17 - October 12. Our season will conclude with the romantic musical comedy, She Loves Me, running November 6 - December 7. Our outdoor day- time children’s programs will feature the Cape premiere of the hilarious The Sponge- Bob Musical: Theatre for Young Audiences Edition playing June 25 - August 28 and Puppets, Paul and Mary’s Summer Bucket List, June 24 - August 26.
