Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod Promotes Daniel Allen to Director of Construction

 
YARMOUTH PORT, MA — Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is pleased to announce the promotion of Yarmouth resident and Cape Cod native Daniel Allen as its new Director of Construction, effective January 2026. He will succeed Bob Ryley, who has held the position since 2011 and will retire at the end of 2025. Dan joined Habitat Cape Cod in July 2024 as Construction Project Manager and brought a wealth of experience from his career in single-family residential construction. Dan is the co-founder of the Michael English House, a non-profit that provides individuals in recovery with hands-on training in the trades.

As Director of Construction, Dan will oversee all construction operations, kicking off 2026 with builds in Brewster, Falmouth, and Pocasset. An excellent craftsman, his background includes expertise in complex construction project management, building codes, construction timelines, and budget administration. Dan will play an essential role in expanding the organization’s construction capacity to build more affordable homes with local families.

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has built nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown. In 2026, new builds in Falmouth, Brewster, and Pocasset will begin. Additional builds over the next few years are planned for Yarmouth, Marstons Mills, Orleans, North Falmouth, and Harwich. Qualifying families are selected via drawing. Future homeowners contribute sweat equity by helping build their homes alongside local volunteers, and then they purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. Habitat Cape Cod has been nationally recognized for building energy-efficient, affordable homes. All homes are deed-restricted to remain affordable in perpetuity. Habitat Cape Cod relies on the generosity of our community to build affordable homes with local Cape Cod families.
